We take the utmost care in processing and protecting personal data. We adhere to the requirements of the EU data protection and privacy law (GDPR).

What are personal data?

According to the GDPR, personal data consists of any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. This means information that is directly about a person or which can be traced back to a person. Data concerning organizations do not fall under personal data in accordance with this definition.

Examples of personal data

Obvious examples are a person’s name, address and place of residence. However, telephone numbers and postal codes with house numbers are also forms of personal data. Sensitive data such as a person’s race, religion or health are recognized as special personal data. These are given extra protection in the legislation.

What personal data do we collect?

In principle we do not collect any personal data other than where necessary. We, for example, do not collect data from visitors to our website unless you decide yourself to leave this on our website.

We collect personal data via social media such as Twitter and Linkedin in case of a job application. This enables us to gain a better understanding of persons who wish to work with us.

What do we use personal data for?

We process the personal data that you leave with us after visiting our website. This information can be:

  • First and last name
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number

We use this information to keep you informed of developments within Q-Sys.

How long do we retain personal data?

We do not store personal data for any longer than we need to for the relevant purpose of the data unless this is required by law. When you provide us with data for subscribing to a newsletter for instance, we keep the data while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we will delete your data within three months.

Who do we share personal data with?

Q-Sys will not share your personal data with third parties. However, we may engage third parties to perform services for us. In that case, we carefully select these parties and conclude processing agreements in which the party is obliged to keep your data confidential and to only process your personal data on our behalf. We may disclose your information if we are legally obliged to do so.

Which measures do we take?

We take appropriate organizational and technical measures to prevent the misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure or unauthorized modification of data or any other form of unlawful processing. Our employees who have access to your personal data are bound by a confidentiality clause. They can only access your personal data if it is necessary for the performance of their duties.

Your right to inspect, rectify or delete personal data.

Under the GDPR, individuals from whom we collect personal data have various rights regarding their personal data to guarantee their privacy. These rights are as follows:

  • Right to access data
  • Right to improve / supplement data
  • Right to remove data
  • Right to restrict processing of data
  • Right of data portability
  • Right to object against processing of data
